Natural Bath Delights

I have almost completed my first tissue box cover. It is made from plastic canvas. It looks really quite because each side has a little yellow duckie on it floating on the water. Photos will be posted sometime over the weekend.

It has taken a little longer that I thought to get some sling bags done but I finally did it.  It took me several tries to get them to look just the way I wanted them to.  Please check them out and let me know what you think.  Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I am very excited to let everyone know that soon a small selection of my handmade tote bags will be available soon at my online store.  I have seen similar tote bags in mall stores but I think they are highly overpriced.  Besides, since those bags are mass produced they don’t have personality or unique features.  So I have spent a lot of time searching for some unique patterns for my tote bags.  I have found some really cool and cute patterns.  My favorite patterns are the tie dye and the frog pattern(see pictures below).  I hope to have four or five of the tote bags done and listed in my store by the end of this week at a much more reasonable price.  Please check back and let me know what you think about the tote bags.

I am also working on some plastic canvas baskets (along with some other ideas) to be used in the place of a normal basket for the gift baskets ideas that I am working on.  More details about my gift basket ideas will be post on this blog over the next couple of weeks.

Handmade Tie Dyed Tote Bag

I have been working on some new designs for felted bags lately.  In case you aren’t familiar with this term, it is a messenger bag style purse that is crocheted out of wool and laundered several times decreasing the stitch definition by closing the holes and making it sturdier. The bags are finished by  lining each one with matching cloth.

I started a new scarf on Tuesday.  Instead of crocheting it I thought I would try my hand at some knitting.  This one is for myself but if it turns out good I will make  a crocheted version which would be available in my store.  I hope to post a couple of picture as soon as I am finished.
